Operation Christmas Child - Samaritans Purse

Shoe Box Appeal October 2010
In 2009 St Ronan's Church donated about 25 shoe boxes of Children's gifts which were distributed to children in various countries around the Pacific.
Last year over 306,000 children in South-East Asia and the Pacific Islands received gift-filled shoe boxes from various Churches.
The gifts are excitedly received by children who are often caught in the midst of war, famine, natural disaster and extreme poverty. It is a way of demonstrating God's love in a tangible way to children in desperate situations, to show them they have not been forgotten.
Let's see if we can donate many Shoe Boxes again to this worthy cause.

PLEASE CONTACT Colin Dalziel 562 7238 for information leaflets on obtaining shoe boxes, suggestions for gifts to suit children of different ages.
A donation of $9 (cheque, or on line, but not cash) is required in an envelope with each box to cover freight costs.
Please bring your filled boxes to St Ronan's Church by early October from where they will be delivered to the Shoe Box drop-off point.
Many thanks, Colin Dalziel
